I agree, George and Sebastian are right on, just tell them it is a TV antenna.    The roof material is definately a huge loss especially at the highter frequencies.   Even an unmodified TV LPDA will

I've only been following the thread casually so perhaps I've missed something along the way. I'm not sure, at least for me, that when I submit a "contest log" it necessarily means my complete log.

The technicality is that it in the case of someone building a bunch of rover boxes, they are only being handed out once to one person.   Carrying around an ht to hand out to someone to make a contact

That makes sense, the only thing is that the station would be penalized for a situation completely out of his/her control as they can't prevent others from spotting them if they so choose to do so. I

Your analysis is right on target.   Stations who wish to cheat will find a way.  Examining logs and cross referencing them to spots and such is simply a tool that can be used to weed out blatent rule
