Hi Bill, i use that rig with a 222 transverter on 10 meters from demi, tonight i tryed the 903 transverter on 2 meters side and its better then the 910 as a tranverter IF for 2 meters, less noise.. n

TU Dave for responding i can here the K1TR 903 beacon fairly well about a S-2 most of the time, the distance is 81 air miles away and i believe its using 10 watts, iv'e just completed a 150w AMP on 9

Jeff, that would be great! we worked before on other bands, going over the log we worked everything, 6-1296 minus 903 SSB so your station would be perfect, i used to be N1LDY if your checking the log

Hi Jamie.. a pre-amp is a must for that band, but im a little worried about 125 ft of coax on 1.2 thats a major run of cable for RG-8 type have you looked at the losses at those freq for that cable?

I had two 2512's the first one self osc and melted down from over heating in the RX mode, unfortunately i was not there till the last minute , i just turned the thing on in the RX mode with the pre-a

Ed, I use just about the same equipment, a IC-910 and 45 element looper and about 45 feet of LMR-400, but I do use a mast mounted pre-amp, (the ICOM version) I could not have worked all the stations
