I had two 2512's
the first one self osc and melted down from over heating in the RX mode,
unfortunately
i was not there till the last minute , i just turned the thing on in the RX
mode with the pre-amp on
went down stairs to do a honey do, while warming up the 222-28 receiver for a
sked and 10 minutes later POOF!
the second one lost a transistor about a month later,
i was told they had trouble, (dah) this was going back 2 years now
