......and the saga continues. Yaesu sent me two replacement S-Meter lamps for my FT1000D but they never arrived because someone wrote down my account number wrong and they ended up in North Carolina.

It seems to me this calls for a white LED and a resistor, which should solve the problem once and for all. I'd think both can be found at a local RS, and know they can be ordered at Mouser. _________
