I have an XG1 but I see now they have an XG2 which supplies a "known" signal on 3 bands (80/40/20) instead of just 40 meters, it is a little more dear at $59 - There si a littel bit about it in QST J

On my 565 Orion - almost anything you change , BW, PBT, PWR , etc will make the keying "stutter" if you make a change while sending - and that is with an external keyer. So it would appear to just be
