My 813's (zero bias GG) have been running now for 43 years. Cobbled together in 1965 with a pair of used toobs manufactured in 1942. Tried a pair of NOS (1967) 813's and the o/p was +0.5db greater. L

The Canadian Hammond/Viewstar PT-2500 and the improved B&W PT-2500A had no problem making 1700-1800W out even on 10M with a simple 100W of drive. The original version goes back to the 70's. Carl KM1H

After I purchased my AL-82 I discovered that someone had replaced the original parasitic suppressors with the nichrome wire/3 resistors per unit type. I have had no problems but the resistors become

By all means, replace them. All that heat is power that would otherwise be transmitted. If the resistors actually are falling apart, the amplifier might become unstable. The originals are fine. There
