- Hi Mark, Actually swamping does attenuate harmonics. Remember the loss goes both ways, so if the incoming signal is attenuated by the resistive load with only a fraction actually driving the tube...t

- This is very true. Another important point is repeatability of the test results between various people, which is to my mind, a very good reason for repeating experiments. There's also another aspect.
