Just hope you havent permanently damaged the switch. The plate choke is resonant on one or both of those bands and should either be swept on a VNA or at least with a GDO. Better still replace it with

The maximum power output on 30 meters (10 MHz) is 200 watts in the US. I don't think most folks know that. Why would you use an amplifier on 30 meters? 73 Jim W7RY Good day to the group. I am new to

One good reason I can think of is if you are running RTTY through your standard 100 watt rig, you would want to limit power out to 30 watts or so. Use an amplifier to get100 to 200 watts out on RTTY
