This isn't in any of the Handbooks I happen to own. I tried looking on LDG's web site but found no autotuner without a box. Maybe it is a special order item? Does anyone have more info on this? I am
Look AT-100AMP under discontinued items. One was offered for sale on here awhile ago and I checked out the specs. http://www.ldgelectronics.com/c/252/products/7 Carl KM1H ____________________________
Hi Paul, there is no reason the tuner "has" to be inside the amplifier is there? If so, maybe a tuner can be scavenged for the application. When you pick a tuner, it needs to be a unit that retains t
Look AT-100AMP Look at the 2010 ARRL Handbook, there is a discussion on using this tuner as an input circuit on HF amps. Apparently LDG offered a circuit board without cabinet for use as an input cir

I am pretty sure that Flex radio use just the board from LDG in their Flex-5000 and Flex-3000, which are pretty small boards. Mike, K6BR Look AT-100AMP Look at the 2010 ARRL Handbook, there is a disc
That amplifier is presented in the 2006 ARRL Handbook on page 18.29 (as well as the front cover). The schematic is on page 18.30 and the parts list on 18.31. That parts list shows "LDGTuner" as "Mod
W4RT Electronics sells them. http://www.w4rt.com/ You get the complete AT-100Pro and the "AMP" chip. You gotta take the board out of the box and swap the chip yourself. Then that board/chip goes into
Thanks everyone for the replies and information! It seems I didn't look closely enough at the discontinued products. The W4RT AT-100PRO with AT-100AMP CPU looks attractive. It won't fit in the box (n

Look at the WD7S tuned input board. http://home.earthlink.net/~wd7s/TU-6B.htm An external tuner is not the best way to go as the output capacitor of the pi net needs to be very close to the cathode o

That's probably true in the sense that the the line from cathode to tuner should be much shorter than a wavelength at the operating frequency...or else the capacitor starts to look like an inductor.
With a wavelength on 10M being around 33' I dont think that is an issue even with .66VF coax. However an electrical quarter or half wave of cable can give some interesting results. Many older amps re

Here is a link to W8JI's article on the subject. He explains it pretty well. Bill Orr has a little on it in his handbook also. http://www.w8ji.com/tuned_input_circuit.htm 73 Gary K4FMX ______________

Agreed! I had problems trying to make the LDG setup work on my 3CX800 amplifier. Ended up using the WD7S board. The LDG tuner was about 12 cable inches from the tube input. 73 Jim W7RY ______________
