Matt, let's take this to an another level of absurdity. How is the new single operator 2BSIQ any less onerous? OK, I'm transmitting on only one band at a time, but the pileups that my dueling CQ's ha

Ok lets take this one step further, and it could be interesting, but how to police it? QSO Points. Points made by CQing, = 1 QSO Point Points made by S&Ping, = 2 points Thoughts? Joe WB9SBD Sig The O

In your example, you are never transmitting on 7050. In fact (and often reality), several CQers could all be announcing their listening frequency as 7050. In addition, there is nothing to stop a DX s

Multi-ops should be banned because they hog a lot of operators who would otherwise be on the air as single ops using their own calls, thereby depriving the contest community of tens of thousands of p

More importantly below 7128 there is less congestion because US stations cannot transmit there so there's less to work down there for DX and no real way for US stations to use those frequencies other

Steve, While it's true that sometimes two stations will listen on the same frequency, I don't think this happens intentionally. It most likely a scenario where neither is able to generate rate and so

Joe, I think something along those lines is a great idea and would add to the number of operating strategies (and station optimization strategies) that could be used tow in. Most logs include the exa

I know this is flame bait, but even without dueling CQ's, I think there's a problem. Especially when only one band is open, the band is often chock full of multi-op stations and big guns continuously

A skilled op can find a place to call CQ. Whether or not you get an answer is a different matter entirely. If you're not reasonably loud, you probably won't get an answer. Also, a "clear" frequency s
