Did we ever get a resolution of what sort of voltages that PoE on this board will accept safely? (No essence of Allen-Bradley.) Is it capable of handling 24vdc? Thanks, Norm
I'm sure this will be supported one day, but I don't think it is yet. Several months ago Karlnet had a bin file that was going into beta 'in a couple of weeks' that would have supported this - things
We have a nice board for APs and clients with the Atheros chipset -- called the RouterBOARD 230 (TM). See www.routerboard.com John www.mikrotik.com At 02:30 AM 10/16/2003, you wrote: On the URL: http
We found a great product in Europe from Lancom. You can easily build a ptp to ptp kit with it. It holds the same minipci. www.lancom.de Wim Bos I'm sure this will be supported one day, but I don't th
I recently had a chance to look at the new kn-50 embedded antennas setup, and I was very impressed with the entire system, from hardware, to software, and onboard speaker with "audio" alignment
Does the radio function any better then the WPBase boards?? We haven't had anything but problems with those boards... Are they using the same radio board or are they a ubicom based radio? Nate I rece
They are Ubicom-based. I've been using lots of them imbedded in AntennasAmerica 19dB panels and have been happy with both performance and ease of installation. Norm
What types of issues are you having w/ the WPBase boards (you using orinocco radio's?) The kn50 is a ubicom system [mailto:karlnet-bounces@WISPNotes.com]
Its almost as easy as a canopy install :-) Have you used any of the kn100 or kn200 boards in the antennas? [mailto:karlnet-bounces@WISPNotes.com] and radio? hardware,
mainly heat issues with the WPBase boards.. Or just general lockup problems with them no matter what version of KN we have on it. The reliability just isn't there with the boards. I have used the UBI
waverider over Alvarion? why are you going to 900 ....it is sooo expensive. Do you think you are getting the additional penetration necessary to make it worthwhile? them
Yes I have seen heat issues w/ the WPBase boards as well, voltage is important and proper heat sinks [mailto:karlnet-bounces@WISPNotes.com] we radio? hardware,
You would think that if it was that important that KN would sell you what you needed in a package so you don't have to shop and do your own R&D on the boards... I would rather use RGs again.. :-) Suc
No doubt, I agree with that - the kn50 boards lack the features of the RG, and the kn100 and kn200 boards require a lot of work to get it working... [mailto:karlnet-bounces@WISPNotes.com] what on KN
Try YDI RG-ANT.. it's a combination rg and 18 db antenna.. great cpe! Kenneth "Scott" Myers Wireless Engineer smyers@telsouth.net (843) 842-7795 x 105 No doubt, I agree with that - the kn50 boards la
All, I thought the word was already out- the heat issue is resolved. Voltage is still important, as it applies to PoE applications. I have documents that tell you the actual voltage you will need for
Karlnet is selling complete units. Doesn't that save you R&D? They also have a one year limited warranty. Kevin ** Kevin R. Knuth Business Development Manager North America 260-424-9690 Regional Offi
