Actually - this isn't true - when you throttle at the CPE using karlnet it DROPS the packets, thus causing retransmissions. Most packages that throttle using windowing and can slow down the transfer

In some testing that I did I found that setting interface speed on the CPE created a more SDSL type service, and throttling at the TC base created more ADSL type service. Thus has been my policy. Bus
