Out of curiosity, I've taken several models of Lutron dimmers apart and they all have the series inductor and capacitor as described. I've had a lot of these over the years and never heard a peep out

My friend was saying that if you want the ULTIMATE in "No RFI" dimmers (but they also require special lights), Lutron makes a series of dimmers for MRI rooms. They are both subject to VERY high RFI,
