I have two FT-1000D's and during the recent rtty contest discovered the newer unit does not tune at same speed as the older unit making tuning 170 cycle shift signals difficultat best. The older 90's

Van, Check out my numerous posts in 3830 bellyaching about the exact same subject! There, is to my knowledge, no way to slow this down, and I find this the most disturbing part of using the 1000D's

Van, The FT-1000/FT-1000D has always had a fixed 10 KHz per revolution dial speed (100 KHz/revolution is the "fast" button is pushed). If one of your radios has a variable tuning rate, it has the Int
