Hello gang, I have an Orion currently using it with a TT Centaur. Works well full QSK. I have an opportunity to get an Alpha 91B for a good price. Looking at the Alpha I see it does nor suppport the

Hi Lee; I suspect it will depends bit on just how fast you operate. If the 91's keying is as fast as the 87A you won't have much if any degredation in the QSK. Of course, I could tell the difference

Lee, The Alpha 91B is a great amp and will operate full QSK with TenTec rigs. Just connect the amp using its "relay" and "key out" to the rig's Tx out and Tx en. "Key out" goes to "Tx en". It couldn'

Pete I'm flumoxed by your comment on the 87A. The 87A is as fast a QSK amp as I've ever seen. It's awful with Ten Tec loop keying, because it switches too fast for it. My 87A with my Orion is good to

Dave What Ten Tec suggests for the Omni VI+ is not good! Here's why....... The T/R switching in the 87A is very fast. It is pin diode switching not mechanical relays. The T/R switching on the VI+ was

The 91B, and the 99 are mechanical vacuum relay switched, and they work perfectly with the Ten-Tec keying loop. Have been using mine that way on an Omni VI+ and Orion for some time. 73, Duane -- Duan
