You're correct Ken. Any Omni 6 with an option upgrade is not an Omni 6+. Some owners/sellers improperly refer to their upgraded sixes as pluses. 73, Barry N1EU _______________________________________

I thought that, with the option 3 upgrade to the original Omni VI, it became an VI Plus from an electronic standpoint. Scott, can you weigh in on this again? 73 de Jim - AD6CW Barry N1EU wrote: Ken B

As I recall, Ten-Tec called all 563's with any upgrade option an OmniVI+. One of the options (I think it was #2) even included a little Omni VI+ badge to paste over the old Omni VI label on the front

Rick, I don't think this is correct. I think Steve N4LQ described it accurately. To the best of my knowledge, Ten-Tec never called a 563 of any ilk an Omni VI+. 73, Barry N1EU _______________________

Well sort of...There's lots of little things TenTec did when they came out with the 564, VI+. For example. The option caused some birdies. They cut cable 34 between the logic board and 9mhz IF and in
