You can run v2 firmware releases on the Orion I without the v2 sweep mod. The firmware detects whether or not the mod has been done and adjusts for it. 73, Barry N1EU ________________________________

Hello There is a pot adjustment for contrast under the bottom cover. A small hloe to insert a screwdriver. Set it for 50%. This happened to me when I upgraded. Then you can use the menu to refine it.

Unplug the paddle and your headphones and let us know if you still get dits in cw mode with the keyer on. This will rule out a short in the paddle or headphones/paddle plugs reversed on the front pan
