Instead of doing that, I decided it was easier to put a transformer at the base of the tower to convert 240VAC back to 120VAC. The important issue is what voltage is used to transport the power over

Hi Fred, The towers came with several different model motors over the years. The way to check it is to look at the tag on the side of the motor. If it is a dual voltage motor the tag will be stamped
