I've never had one pull back. It appears that possibly the wrong die was used not making a tight enough crimp. The crimp sleeve is covered so I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the crimp may ha

IIRC and I am going from a rather old memory, the crimp should support a 60# dead weight with RG-8 size cable. Normally it should take an extreme pull even at an angle to cause the braid to pull back

Peter, I use crimp connectors a lot and have not had any problems like this. I looks like the crimp was not tight enough which is most likely from either the wrong die, not enough pressure or crimpin
