- Is there anything that will dissolve this junk. I don't understand why people think that they have to put Pentrox or Nolox on beam elements. It just freezes them up so that they will not come apart.

- I've used Tri-Flow, WD-40, diesel fuel, automatic transmission fluid, Coca-cola, vegetable oil, olive oil, and acetone, separately and in some combinations for penetrating and freeing stuck parts. 73

- Dissolve the "junk." IF it is a couple aluminum tubes telescoping then... Stand the tubes vertically with the smaller diameter tube on top. Form a lump of modeling clay around the larger diameter tub

- The best commercial penetrating oil is PB Blaster and even better but with a limited shelf life is to mix acetone and transmission fluid. Keep it away from painted surfaces though Mark N1UK On 12/9/2

- PB blaster any day. Works superior and does not evaporate rapidly as WD-40. Acetone mix is flammable! Fumes can reach explosive ratios as well as being toxic to breathe.. Look up MSDS sheet. 73 Roger
