I would look at the OptiBeam OB2-40 http://www.optibeam.de/ The large high-q loading coils are very efficient and they will easily handle continuous legal power. I have used this antenna and it is a

If you are going to do high power AM on 40 meters, then I strongly recommend rebuilding the 402BA, digging a large pit to put it in, and feeding it with high-loss coax. 73, Steve, N2IC I am wanting t

It's far from the best out there, but the Cushcraft XM-402 has a pretty good bang for the buck. I've had the earlier model for almost 20 years up only about 48 ft and it helps quite a bit. I use a st

Probably the best (IMHO) 2 element 40 is the one by Cal AV. Unlike everything else on the market, both elements are driven. It is kind of like a ZL special. Big performance advantage for a little mor

One or more contesters have converted shorty 40's into Moxon's. Think K3LR is running a stack. His web page says a W6NL design. No coils to blow or loading wires. www.k3lr.com Click on Hardware. Don'

Unless you are installing a Moxon on a crankup tower how do you get one mounted? I'm trying to visualize how one could be trammed up a guyed tower. Rick. K2XT ________________________________________

The gap between the Moxon tips is less than between non Moxon elements but sufficient to clear most any guyed tower. I have one (bought) that came down from R45 via a tram and will go up on a new R65

Dont forget the WA3FET 3 element 40m V-yagi as highlighted in Low Band Dxing. Light weight, high strength, and performance just shy of a full sized 40m 3 element Yagi with a nice, wide swr bandwidth.
