Carl, There were times yesterday as I push/pulled such a 3/8 inch wall mast up through the tower that I would have given mine to you! I now have it on a 45 ft Rohn 25 bolted to my house with a 22 ft

There are EASIER ways to do it Gordon! Ive ~21-22' 1/4" wall steel masts on my 180' 45G and 100' 25G. Those went in place with a gin pole. I use two thrust bearings which makes it easy to swap rotato

Carl, I like the idea of the second bearing...I would just need to find a shelf as I have a bearing. As for the process of lowering and lifting the mast, well you see there was a stack of VHF and UHF

Ive seen steps marketed so you can climb the mast! The highest Ive climbed my masts is about 8-9'. It was secure but a damned funny feeling. The top 2M yagi (an old Crashcraft 4218XL) on my 100' towe
