Hi Mark, How high is your swr on the upper end ? My 40-2cd is tuned for 7.150, but at the worst case at 7.000 the swr is only 2.2 to 1.0 and at 7.300 it is only 1.7 to 1.0....... My antenna is at 130

Mark, I am also using a CC 402CD at 95 ft, about 300 ft behind my house, fed with 3/4 inch CATV hardline. I use a Drake MN2000 to tune on SSB. Try adding some coax to find a 'better' impedance range

I'd presume the actual VSWR is higher than you're reading, since it's being improved by the loss of 350 feet of 52 Ohm coax..... -WB2WIK/6 "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fa

Good comments from everyone. Thanks! One might think that this was a loaded question - it was! I spent the last week or so taking an alternative approach. See below... Here is what I came up with. Fi

Can you change the length of the elements? I think that CW would be onger than SSB so if you can shorten the elements would that not work? GURUs? Chris opr VE7HCB
