Thanks for the comments. What I think I would like to be able to change during a contest is the audio level into RITTY as I don't think it is working as well on weak signals as it can. I guess my que

Jim, Yes, I think adjustment of audio levels significantly influences the performance of sound card decoders. I use RITTY but am experimenting with MMTTY and other sound card systems. I still prefer

Thanks for the suggestions, both here and direct. I'll implement a hardware level control and see how it works. I'll report the results here but probably not for a month or so (although the EA RTTY i

Hello Jim, The audio level going to RITTY shouldn't have much affect on weak signal performance as long as you keep the level at a reasonable level. You can use the RITTY's input level adjust instead

Jim, Mike and others, here are my observations and the solution to sound board Line in level setting I've used for years. I got an inexpensive Optimus SA-155 compact stereo amp. and connected it to t

During my shortened BARTG effort(I even missed XR0X, although I did hear his pileup) I took a little time to compare RITTY with MMTTY. Both used 16 bit SB soundboards which were each connected their

I also use RITTY with WL. Sometimes it seems to work well on weaker signals and sometimes it doesn't. (No multipath or polar flutter.) I have this feeling that if the audio level isn't right RITTY do

I've been a long-time user of RITTY and I agree with your observations, Jim. Here, I use RITTY with either WriteLog or RTTY by WF1B, but I also run it on a separate computer where I can change the fi
