Jay, You should be looking at the forums of the software programs you are using. That you use an older TRX does not matter for the port splitter. You might wat to use DXLab commander. It is supported

"Splitting" the CAT port on older Yaesu transceivers (prior to the FTdx9000/FT-2000) is not likely to work because of the "binary" nature of the original Yaesu CAT protocol. The original protocol has
