Maybe I missed something but you can't just "set dvppath" without adding the actual path. So "SET DVPPATH=C:\CT\DVP" will educate DOS so you won't get the error. Incidentally, just a small trick, but

You did miss something. "SET DVPPATH" should show the current setting. I tried this in both CMD.EXE and 4NT.EXE in WinXP and it worked properly. I no longer have any DOS machines to test on. 73 - Jim
