Comments:

20 was GREAT! band open to LA TN FL TX NC MS and scatter to IN. 30 Qs in about
10 minutes then everyone jumped to 40. Switched bands, and looked out the
window to the sun HIGH in the west and heard nothing but s1 to s3 signals and
all working each other. rate just went to pieces on 40 with lots of calling and
getting beat out. Only heard one loud K6UFO from CA and everyone else seemed to
be far away.
Coasted to the finish line, out of gas, just on fumes, with a stop on 80 for
VE7 MT and CA (barely !). As spring comes on we will be further and further
from the action on the low 3 bands. Maybe more time on 20 will happen. One
suggestion: called some guys several times that had their auto CQs set to CQ CQ
CALL CALL... when CQ CALL is usually enough to get someone to call em. found
myself stumbling over the second CALL fairly often. Fun to watch this 30 minute
sprint change as the seasons change. Bottom line - ALWAYS FUN !! 73 de K7SS Dan
