I'm trying to figure out why my scores have dropped from the 170 range to 150.
80 meters has been good all across the USA at the 1300Z session, but people seem
to migrate to 40 at 1330Z. I stayed on 40 the entire time and the score improved
over the last couple weeks when I started on 80. There seem to be a few new
guys and people still call over each other. I have to work on getting a single
complete call and getting multiple calls at once. That might help, however, the
first few minutes have been slow, and there are gaps in the runs. S&P at
the end have been good and I can get 2 per minute and some 3 per minute, but it
is hard to get 4 a minute. 36 WPM
Same antennas as before, but I have put coax to the 30/40 vertical and it is
inside the garage, so I have to work on SO2R. I am hesitant, though, because
the 40 meter signal will be down. Perhaps 20/40 at a 1900Z session would be a
good place to start. No progress on the 80 meter 4 square, but did run some
coax to the beverages. They are inside the garage, so I have to work no the
switching.
