There was a parallel 4cx250 2 meter amp design published in May 1975 QST by
Steve Gross, then W9OJI, now k4 something. I built one from a pre-publication
copy of the info kindly provided by Steve. Have used it for close to 30 years
now.
About the only similarity to the design you describe is the length of the
plate line. Your unit sounds like someone trying to make an amp in the
cheapest possible way. It would be interesting to see if it can be made to
work. There is quite a demand for "inexpensive"!!
