So Craters and Freighters drop off the 150 pound crate containing the
Alpha 77 antenna tuner.

The guy who's sending the unit tells me he will remove all the spinner
knobs and stow them inside the unit in bubble wrap so they won't
get smashed.

The unit arrives and is uncrated. The knobs were still on and trashed.

These are the old style spinner knobs that Alpha used back in the
early 'seventies: Raytheon MS91528-5S2B. 2-3/16" across the
knurls and the bat handle is 3/4" tall by 3/4" across. There are
none left on the planet. Nebraska has spinner knobs that look
almost exactly like these, but they are 1-1/2" across the knurls.

The other damage was the Radio Switch 90-series routing switch's
detent follower roller had its little pins sheared off and was rolling
around
inside the cabinet. I made a replacement on the lathe.

I am totally bummed about the knobs. If any of you have any ideas about
trying to find some of these, please let me know.
