Yees!!
This is an FB configuration. I have one operating in conjunction with a
4-1000 at the 1kW level and it works beautifully. It rids you of bleeder
resistors and high voltage capacitors.
It was originally designed by the late 4X1AT, sadly an S.K. now.

Subject: [Amps] OM power power supply design

Hi guys,

Still regarding my own project.. As the first quote was a bit too salty, I
started thinking about alternatives...

Last night I came across these schematics from OM Power.

They use 8 250v windings, rectified, in series. Seems ingenious as that
would lower the costs for the transformer, and it makes the use of toroidal
cores an option.

What would be the drawbacks of copying such a design? Should each of the
windings deliver the required current or should there be a safe margin?

here are the pics: http://www.sm5cki.se/ompower/schematics.html

73 tu,

Felipe
