Back a few years ago, a ham friend of mine owned a bar in Port Orford, OR. I was there when he swapped a brand new 4-1000 for a bottle of whiskey. I imagine that went on quite a bit in the military :-) 73 Tom W7WHY Id say that the only significant amount of pilfered tubes on Fleabay are from the military when hams pocketed them at high rates. Since these are mostly from the 80's and earlier the time of prosecution is long past.
