I think the build looks great and it may have been a plasma amplifier to
start.  What caught my attention was the coil.  Just looking at it one
wonders how it is going to tune below 12 or 15 meters, if that? It looks
like it is directly tied to the caps so nothing under the chassis.  But,
no
pictures of the bottom.

Ultra style of input balun. No under chassis pix is suspicious.

There is plenty of room for a bigger inductor to get to 160 and larger
vacuum caps. Heck he even started the layout for the second tube.

The crafstmnship is excellent, wonder if it was an RF generator?
