Well said Mark; I concur with your pragmatic sentiment here.

One of my favourite television anthology programs is a "Thousand Ways to
Die"...it's pure entertainment all about dumb-ass people's stupidity versus
one taking prudent risk mitigation measures :-)

I fly airplanes and do aerobatics and fly formation. I build and drive
high horsepower cars at the dragstrip. I shoot high powered rifles at long
range (some would refer to these as "Sniper Rifles"). I've worked on high
powered jammers from 50 MHz to 20 GHz, and have built some of my own in the
process to get a better understanding of how they work. BWO/TWT/Maggy
theory anyone? I have been a member of, and have learned from many groups
and list servers. Through all of that I have found that there are always
several types of people on a list server.

There will ALWAYS be people that tell you: "You should not do that". "Why
do you want to do that." "You can't do that, it is against the rules/law."

"You are not qualified to do that." If you publically disagree with such
folks, the next thing that happens is that they start calling you names:
"You're stupid for doing that". "You're going to die doing that, don't you
get it?" It just goes on and on.

And then there are a few that have been there before, have lots of
experience and practice at what you are trying to do, and are willing to
teach and share it all with you.

I try to make friends with the latter and pretty much laugh and ignore the
former.

Someone writes me an email from this list and asks me to help them build an
amp? I am going to help them. Just like I helped someone learn aerobatics,

or to shoot a gun.

And if anyone on this list doesn't agree with my views .... I really do not
care. I will listen to your advice, and will heed what is logical and makes

sense. But I am an adult and I make my own decisions, whether anyone else
likes it or not. What more really needs to be said?

That's why I voted for Trump. :-)
