While most modern radios will allow you some adjustment of the T/R relay
delay my pair of relatively modern IC-7410's will not and I was smoking T/R
relays in my fairly modern amps due to hotswitching. While I didn't get too
many complaints of dropped leading dits or getting called UE9AA, I got tired
of buying and soldering in expensive T/R relays.
I learned I could dial in some amount of delay between N1MMLogger and my
SO2R software so now it's all OK.
I don't think I saw it mentioned but there are several well known contesters
who will sometimes reply too soon before your TX has gone back to RX making
it (sometimes) seem like their call is clipped.
