Doing some Beverage modeling using EZNec. I seem to recall reading
something about inaccuracies in the EZNec manual. However, I'm unable
to locate any such information. My present Beverage runs along my
wooden fence line for about 600 feet and is about 5 feet off the ground
supported by electric fence insulators. EZNec says that the maximum
gain is at an elevation angle of 45deg, the same should holt true on
receive. 45deg is not what I would think of as ideal but then again
I think in terms of skip using the F2 layer which is not the case here.
Two questions. Am I off in left field with the results and where can
I get information regarding arrival angles and how to figure optimum
angles for various distances.
Have a meeting planed with the farmer who has a gazillion acres behind
me. Hoping to get an ok for additional Beverages. 73 Pete N4KW
