Squeezed in an hour and a quarter between my son's basketball game and going
out to dinner. Murphy struck twice as I was setting up. The tower wouldn't
go up. Upon inspection I found the outside AC outlet completely corroded.
It should be fixed for CW next weekend. So the antenna was only up 30'. As I
was swinging the mic boom (a modified lamp boom) into place, it broke. I
knew that was coming and had just purchased a real mic boom last week. I
jury rigged it kinda into place, so with only operating a short time, my
neck didn't suffer too much. See you with a more serious effort next
weekend. It is time for me to break 250 on CW!

Feb 95 Phone Sprint - AA4GA
136 X 36 = 4896
Ran 100 watts; operated about 2 hours.
TEAM: Cluster Pluckers
Low Power is no fun in this contest...especially on 80 meters! For the
benefit of KI4HN, I anticipate some nice mult totals...even with my little
effort, I worked 4 mults he missed and heard at least 2 more: KY KS LA OK
MS and VT. Maybe VE2, I'm not sure.
See y'all next week for another PartTimeLowPower entry!
