[CQ-Contest] ICOM 706 MK II

I hope I don't offend anyone for asking the following but I am
trying to find out for an amateur friend the concensus of the
Icom 706 MK II transceiver.

If anyone has experience with this transceiver, please pass along
your opinion as to advantages and shortcomings (if any) so that he
will know whether or not to purchase one.
