What Amateur map?
AFAIK, there has only ever been the ITU broadcasting zones as defined
in the Annex to Appendix S1 to the Radio Regulations. The current ITU
map, one having a total of 85 zones (75 "land" and 10 "water) was
adopted at WRC-97 and went into effect 1/1/99 replacing the earlier
version of the map that had a total of 90 zones (75 "land" and 15 "water").
If there's an "ITU map" out there that's unique to amateur radio, who
is the authoritative source for that map? What organization drew and
maintains the official version of this map, i.e. who decided that
France is only in Zone 27, and not split between 27, 28 & 37 as is
shown on the 1973 and 1999 versions of the map of ITU broadcasting
zones in the RR?
