Guy,
Please help me understand what you mean in your second sentence below.
My concept is logs would be submitted and processed by the contest sponser but
only summary sheet information would be posted back to the internet for all to
see.
I don't know how you could correct your log from this limited data.

I this is an interesting idea Vlad. The problem would be that cheaters would
find and catch logging errors posted by others before submitting theirs. The
whole process would become an online auction of sorts. ;-). I think if the
log deadline were shortened considerably, again this is the 21st century right?
This would alienate the guys sending in paper logs though (I think). One
way to solve this might be to shorten the log deadline. Say you have 2 hours
(arbitrary number) to submit for consideration and then the online results can
be viewed subject to adjudication. Would this be a problem for the casual
op? The casual guys are bread and butter right?

I dunno. IMHO, this is radio contesting not a general technology competition.
I'm a relatively younger newcomer who is a software engineer by trade. I say
this because I'm not afraid of computer technologies, the Internet, progress,
etc. I think these kind of changes have to be carefully considered. We cant
just say demagogically, "You are holding up progress".
</soapbox mod off>
I'm just excited to play radio over the coming weeks!
