Why do people use amplifiers? Why do people use stacked beams? Why do people
use 2 radios?

The advantage!

In my opinion, the cluster is not a crutch but a tool, like any other tool,
used to give an advantage to the user; whatever advantage the user may deem
important and however real or imagined that advantage is.
