I also do not remember the date of my first license, nor the date when I
upgraded to extra and got my current callsign. I haven't a clue where
my actual license is, but I suspect it doesn't exist anymore in physical
form. With few exceptions I have been active continually since 1967,
both in DXing and contesting. I have several thousand dollars invested
in gear and antennas, but ham radio does not define me and it does not
define my life. The fact that you can't relate to that and that you
would publicly call out anyone for it says way more about you than it
does any of the rest of us.
