| Hi John,
I used to contest a lot with a FT1000D, either in my shack or others'. It
is a great computer controlled contest radio. I used it for DXing,
contesting SO, MO, and SO2R with a FT990. I don't recall anything that a
contest logging program would ask for that the FT1000D couldn't answer.

Don, NL7CO and myself were having a discussion yesterday about the Yaesu
FT1000D and contesting. He thought that you can't do much computer control
of one from the logging program. I figured that it would pretty much do as
much computer control as the modern rigs.

Anyone have experience using a FT1000D in a contesting environment and can
fill us in on the computer control aspect of it?
