Amen, Pete! And can we please get rid of leading 0's, too? They cause
problems if the signals are weak or get hit by QRM. If signals are good they
serve no useful purpose. Either way, they are a time-waster.

I shake my head every time I hear a cut number, before I go into 'translation
mode' to figure out what the heck the actual number was that was sent.
