Dick has hit on the solution. The project I'm involved in at work relies on
the smooth transfer of information between hardware and software in Win
3.1x, 95 and NT. Due to the large amount of information involved, and the
fact that it cannot wait for time slicing by the OS, we had to write a
device driver.
This completely transformed the operation of our system, and all issues
related to the OS and timing absolutely vanished.
I humbly suggest that a device driver for CT is exactly what is required,
and would go a long way to meeting the needs of users, not to mention
freeing up future software development. I know our programmer has never
looked back.
