On my kn205 board, I am running 444-00 and it seems to have stabilized.
One thing you can try is to look at all of the high retrans on your
network and lower their link speed to 1mbs if that will support the
customer.

Retrans is really the only thing I have seen that is the problem.

I don't run any Cor's or Ror's with anything other than firmware 4.15
which
was distributed by Orinoco. 
But I have a Flashrom unit and KN-200's and 100's with 4.44.2whatever
and
haven't had any problems. 

I use intersil cards in the clients and base exclusively, except for PTP
frequency converted links which I use Agere OEM cards. 
So my KN-200 base has a Prism2.5 in one interface that is TC base.  And
then
Agere in the other interface running PTP slave for upstream.
