I had forgotten the horror stories about the smoked main f.i. computer
and other various maladies in my last BMW....
I now have the absolute quietest vehicle....A mechanically
injected diesel
old enough that it does not have any computers...Only thing I hear is
just before the brake pad, wear warning light comes on, the sensors
drag a bit on the rotor and make a swishing sound untill the pads are
replaced..
And, its a wagon so I have the antenna centered on the vehicle on
the roof...Only problem is the thing is 13 feet high and hits
everything....Still a good tradeoff.
