We are seriously considering going to a solar power generation system on our
house. It will be a zero grid access system.
Both contractors we have talked to, so far, have 'assured' me there will be
no interference with my amateur radio operations....BUT...
I don't trust what they say. Both times, when I asked about RFI, they had
to 'Get back to me'...'nother words, they had no clue what RFI was, or what
I was talking about, assuring me there would be interference to my TV/home
theater system...In fact, one salesman said to me, with a straight face,
after I tried to explain the concept of amateur radio to him, that I
couldn't attach my roof top tower to any of the solar panels.....DUH......
So..I turn to here...What are any RFI issues I might encounter and what have
folks done to overcome those issues?
