Really?!

If that is indeed the case, it is very telling, and it probably
indicates why you are having a problem in the first place.

In short, adding a common-mode choke to a differential signal should
have zero effect on that differential signal, and if it does reduce
the bandwidth and/or create instability, then their signal is not
differential like it ought to be.  And that opens it up to all kinds
of interference susceptibility.

If this is by design, then you may be stuck with it.

If it is a fault with your particular unit, then I suggest returning
it as it is defective.
