For others info, you can also use what is called a Brady connector- found in 
electrical section. They are used for strapping to Circuit breaker boxes etc. 
Something similar may be found in an automotive parts store also.

Not as pretty as typically used electronic connectors, nor ‘insulated’ at 
crimp. They are large, square copper connectors that screw down onto the 
wire/braid- ...Although 1/2 inch may be replaced with smaller if braid folded 
over.. etc...
